The chair adds a natural element and is elegant, comfortable and suitable for private use in the living room or in a cottage. Teddy was designed by Viggo Boesen in 1936. A cushion can be purchased for the Teddy chair in any optional fabric, sewn on our Danish sewing department. We also offer to sew cushion in your own fabric, please contact us for more information about material use. Based on Viggo Boesen's original drawings from 1941, we have reproduced the design of this sculptural and eye-catching lounge chair Teddy. Teddy is the Viggo Boesen's interpretation of the popular earflap chair from the mid19th century. The century shaped with a large organic arm movement in the natural material rattan. The design is a brave manifesto, and the chair is the first of its kind form given in this natural material. Viggo Boesen (1907-1985) is behind a wide range of designs of both rattan and upholster furniture. All are the forms given by Viggo Boesen's philosophy of uniting the beautiful and sculptural with soft organic shapes, while the furniture should be firmly constructed and thus durable. Viggo Boesen's original furniture is today a collectible that is sold in auctions worldwide.
